Campbell's in Outlander

Much of the early magic of the Outlander TV series came to life in Falkland, and Campbell’s featured in Seasons 1 and 2.

In Season 1, Falkland transported viewers to 1940s Inverness, the scene of Frank and Claire’s honeymoon. Who could forget the memorable scene where Jamie’s ghost watches Claire at her window? The guesthouse where the couple stayed is in fact the Covenanter Hotel. Jamie is seen leaning on the Bruce Fountain, directly in front of Campbell’s. Campbell’s Coffee House became Campbell's Tea Rooms for Season 1 filming.

At the very end of Season 2, in the episode Dragonfly in Amber, Campbell’s was transformed into a greengrocers! Falkland Town Hall doubled as the place where Claire, Brianna, and Roger delve into their quest for Jamie’s records.

Falkland Palace's East Range cellars were also a pivotal location in the Season 2 episode ‘The Hail Mary’. Claire's search for medical supplies leads her to a meeting with Mary Hawkins in what was transformed into an old-world apothecary. If you’re eager to relive that moment, the Palace now offers an interactive apothecary experience in the very room Outlander showcased. More information here.
